It’s official! The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Foothills has become BGC Southern Alberta! 

BGC Southern Alberta is proud to announce a significant milestone in our journey of community service and growth. Effective immediately, the organization will be known as BGC Southern Alberta. This change has been made to better reflect the expanded service area and the growing impact of the Club within Southern Alberta.

The decision to transition from the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Foothills to BGC Southern Alberta underscores the Club’s dedication to inclusivity, accessibility, and broader community engagement. Over the years, the Club has extended its programs and services beyond the Foothills region, reaching more communities across Southern Alberta. This renaming is a celebration of that growth and the Club’s ongoing commitment to supporting children, youth, and families throughout the province.

While the name has changed, the mission remains steadfast: to provide safe, supportive places where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.

We remain committed to providing safe spaces, enriching programs, and valuable opportunities for young people to thrive. The Club will continue to offer its diverse range of initiatives, which include Licensed Childcare, programming for youth, including mentorship opportunities, educational support programs, recreational activities, and community support, catering to the evolving needs of the Southern Alberta region.

BGC Southern Alberta is excited about the future and the potential to further impact lives across the region. This name change symbolizes not only the growth of the organization but also the broadened vision and strength of its community-focused efforts.
