EmpowerED

What is the EmpowerED program?

A daytime program for youth who do not attend mainstream school/classrooms. This program aim’s to build an environment where youth can enhance their academic abilities, set and achieve personal goals, and develop essential life skills necessary for their journey towards success. Through tailored educational approaches, mentorship, and community engagement, we empower youth to thrive academically and personally, equipping them with the tools they need to excel in their education and embrace their unique potential. Suitable for those that are homeschooled, have dropped out of school, are unable to attend in-person classes, are completing distance learning, are experiencing homelessness, or are looking for a safe space to be during the day.

Thrive Drop-In

What is Drop-In

At BGC Lethbridge Youth Centre, we are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for young people to explore, grow, learn and connect. We offer a variety of programs and services designed to meet the needs of youth including our Drop In Program, which provides a safe space for youth to hangout, build connections and access resources.

We also provide a range of activities and workshops to help equip youth with the skills and knowledge they need to become successful in their future endeavours.

Chosen Family Dinner

What is Chosen Family Dinner?

Join youth centre staff, volunteers and participants once a week for dinner.

This program is a time for youth to join us around the table for social connection and homemade meals to meet new people, share experience and connect with others in a meaningful way.

If you have dietary restrictions, we are happy to make accomodations. Please let us a member of our team know before you attend, so we can have alternative available for you!

2SLGBTQ+

2SLGBTQ+ Hangout is a space for youth to create connections with others like them.

What is 2SLGBTQ+ Hangout?

A program for 2SLGBTQ+ youth aged 11-18, promoting mental wellness, self-exploration, connection, and safe spaces. Through workshops and activities, we empower youth to embrace their identities, navigate challenges, advocate for their community, and build resilience.

Together, we will cultivate a sense of belonging, resilience, and pride, ensuring that every youth feels seen, supported, and empowered to flourish.

DND Club

What is DND Club?

Join the exciting Dungeons and Dragons Club for youth ages 11-18! This program offers a unique opportunity for young adventurers to come together and embark on thrilling quests in a fantasy world. Designed to foster creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, the club provides a safe and inclusive space for youth to immerse themselves in the captivating realm of D&D. Participation in the club is by registration only, and those interested are encouraged to contact the youth center for more information and to secure their spot in this extraordinary adventure.

Explore Sports

What is Rec Night?

We recognize that access to physical activity and sports programming can be challenging to accesses. That’s why we are inviting you to join us for a 4 week rotational program to learn and practice different sports, skills and play some games with other youth.

  • This program is designed for any ability and any body- our goal is to make sports program accessible and safe for every youth.
  • This program is drop-in based at takes place at the our Main North location (1405 8th Ave N) on Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00.
